Each quarter, Chapel UMC focuses on a mission project. Parishioners save their change for the quarter and then it is collected for the mission. For the third quarter, our dream was to purchase three Buddy Benches, one each for North Elementary, South Elementary, and the Middle School.
When our funds were counted, we were a bit shy of our goal. We have memorial funds that are used for missions and special projects. It seemed the perfect use for the fund in memory of Virgie Grimm, former school nurse and English teacher, who loved her students and making a difference in their lives.
Today, we delivered three Buddy Benches just in time for Christmas! Yet another experience of how God provides through
the hearts of God’s people. Thanks to all who made this possible.
