Lenten Bible Study

WITNESS AT THE CROSS: A BEGINNER’S GUIDE TO HOLY FRIDAY
by PROFESSOR AMY-JILL LEVINE

In the Lenten study Witness at the Cross, Professor Amy-Jill Levine shows how the people at the cross each have distinctive roles to play in the Gospels. For each witness, Jesus has a particular meaning and message. We can learn how these meanings and messages speak cross the centuries to any who would come to the cross today. During our time together, you will discover what your witness might have been, where you might place yourself at the cross. Each week will explore a different witness:

Week One: The Bystanders and Scoffers
Week Two: The Other Victims
Week Three: The Soldiers
Week Four: The Beloved Disciple
Week Five: The Women
Week Six: Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus

Contact the church office to reserve your spot! Books are $10. Sessions will be on Monday evenings from 7-8p, starting March 7.
