Poverty is a reality for many individuals and families. But unless you’ve experienced it, poverty is difficult to understand. The Community Action Poverty Simulation (CAPS) bridges the gap from misconception to understanding.
CAPS is an interactive, immersive experience. It sensitizes community participants to the realities of poverty. This is a simulation, not a game. Your next opportunity to experience the poverty simulation is from 2:00-4:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 14 at Buchtel CLC, 1040 Copley Road, Akron.
The simulation is free, but you need to register in advance. If you have questions about the Community Action Poverty Simulation, please e-mail Melanie Thomas, Connectional Ministries administrative assistant. Register on the Events Registration page of the EOC website.
